CELINA CITY BOARD OF EDUCATION
AUGUST 18, 2008
The Celina City Board of Education met in regular session on August 18, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. in the Conference room of the Education Complex. Mr. Fetters led those in attendance in the Pledge of Allegiance. Mr. Fetters, Mr. Gilmore, Mrs. Hoyng, Mrs. Paulus and Mrs. Piper answered the roll call.
08-28 On a motion by Mrs. Piper, seconded by Mrs. Hoyng, the Board set the agenda as adjusted.

08-29 The Board on a motion by Mr. Gilmore, seconded by Mrs. Paulus, approved the presentation of the consensus agenda
Treasurer’s Report – Mr. Mike Marbaugh
1. Approve the minutes of the July 21, 2008 regular meeting and July 30, 2008 special meeting.
2. Approve of checks written in July 2008 of $2,947,181.55. Total expenditures for July 2008 were $2,945,199.61.
3. Approve investments for the period. The balance as of August 13, 2008 is $17,109,896.41.
4. Approve adjustments to the FY 08 temporary appropriation resolution.

Resolution
1. Recommend approval of the 2008-09 bus routes, as adjustments are needed.
2. Recommend approval of the 2008-09 Bus Driver Handbook. (no changes made from last year).
3. Recommend the Board accept the lowest and best bid of Frost Roofing, Inc. Wapakoneta Ohio for the Fieldhouse re-roofing project per our specifications at the cost of $56,750.00. This cost includes a 25-year labor and material warranty.
4. Recommend the Board approve the lunch ala carte price changes to match up to the A-lunch price changes approved at the June 23, 2008 board meeting.

The Board set a special meeting for August 25, 2008 at 5:30 p.m. in the conference room of the Education Complex to act on the sale of the 2008 Tri-Star house.
Mr. Miller updated the Board on the items of interest from the Ohio School Facilities Commission and that the Western Buckeye League was recommending ticket prices for Middle School sports. He also told the Board that the District report card from the state is scheduled to be released prior to the end of August and that he is monitoring the enrollment numbers because some areas are starting to look like they will be near the maximum.
