Touch Math is a multisensory approach to Math that works for students of all learning styles and gives them the opportunity to build a solid Math foundation. The first grade Touch Math allows the children to see, say, hear and touch the points on each number. This helps the students to master addition in a fun way.
To subtract we ask the children to touch the points and count backward.
Touch Math will also help us to tell time and count money.

Rocket Math is a researched based program to help students become more fluent with their math facts.
Each day your child will work with a partner for two minutes to practice their addition facts. Then, they will take a one minute Rocket Math Test.
Please see the Rocket Math page in your child's binder. Please practice the facts going around the outside of the page one time each night.
The Rocket Math goal is to complete 40 problems per minute.
