Using NoodleTools to Create A Bibliography

Celina High School students and staff, only, have a subscription to use this service
from July 2009 - July 2010.

 

  1.  Type this address into your browser or click this link if you are online: http://www.noodletools.com/login.php?group=2177&code=1517
     
  1. If you are a return user, simply enter your Personal ID and Password. Then select the “Start New List” button or open a previous list on your own account.
     
  1. If you are a NEW USER, click on Create a Personal ID.
     
  1. On the New User Registration Page, you will be prompted for a SCHOOL password; the User Name is    research     and is already listed for you.
     
  1. Add the School/Library password:   Ask Mrs. Baltzell in the Media Center at CHS for the password
     
  1. Fill in the blanks and write it down so you REMEMBER the account name and password you set-up. I can't help you if you lose it.
    Click  the register button
     
  1. Once the approved info is registered, it will take you to a screen where you can click on “NoodleBib” to generate an APA (for Social Studies, History & Science classes) and MLA (for English classes).
     
  1. Click on “Create New List” on the Personal Folder page
     
  1. On the Create New List page, choose “APA Advanced or MLA ” and type in a “description” in the blank (i.e. American History Research Paper or the topic of your choice)
     
  1. Start adding “References”. Select a citation type from the drop-down menu at the top (i.e.., “book,” “newspaper,” “website,” etc)
    Add all information you have by typing or copy/paste.
     
  1. Continue filling in subsequent pages until done. It is important to have your source in front of you as you enter the information requested.
     
  1. When you are finished  logout.

  13.  When you are completely done with your list, save it as a word document to your school account where you can change font/size, etc
          to match your  research paper.

  14.   There are directions on the page through “Help” buttons and links to help you edit the bibliography citations, preview the list and open in word
          to edit, etc.  Ask Mrs. Baltzell for help.
