PERMISSION TO USE STUDENT PICTURES

Dear Celina City Schools’ Parents,

For years it has been a common practice to place articles about students in the local newspaper that included pictures of students.  Acknowledgement of accomplishments and sharing of student’s work in newspapers has always been enjoyed by students and parents alike, and we intend to continue this practice.  However, it is now possible to use the Celina City School District web site and web-based newspapers in the same manner, and since these pages are part of the Internet, we would like to ask that you indicate your preference with regards to the use of your child’s picture and/or work.

Listed below are the precautions we take when posting on the web:                                 

ü      No names or only first names in the caption if a small group is shown.

ü      Large group shots are used most of the time and are never cropped down to specific individuals.

ü      If small groups are posted, side shots or pictures of students working on

Something - with faces away from the camera - are used.

ü      We stay away from full-face shots.
