Leukemia/Lymphoma Fundraisers

The Penny Stall

by Andy Muhlenkamp

On the 12th of February, students will have a chance to delay their learning in the morning. A Penny Stall will take place at CHS in order to raise money for the Pennies for Patients organization. Students should bring pennies to their first period class. The teacher in each first period class must then count and wrap the pennies before class officially beings. So start saving your pennies now for the Penny Stall! Please help cancer patients by bringing in your pennies.

Also, student council will be selling hearts the week before Valentines Day. This is a CLASS COMPETITION… Each class will be assigned a heart color, and each heart will cost 10 cents. Purchase your hearts at lunch. The hearts will be placed in the lobby. All money raised will be donated to the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society.

LOOKING FOR A DATE? BY BETH BRAUN

Don’t worry, IFLURTZ is here! Fill out the IFLURTZ form today and return it to your first period teacher OR the office by January 22nd. Your compatibility results can be purchased February 17th – 20th during lunch for $2.00. Even if you do not plan on buying your results, fill out the form so you can end up on someone else’s list – it is FREE to fill out! So don’t wait to find your soul-mate! J

SENIOR FINAL EXAM POLICY 2003-2004

The following guidelines must be met for Seniors to be exempt from their final exams at the end of the school year.

  1. Must be on the 3rd nine weeks honor roll.
  2. Must not have a failing grade in any class either during the 3rd or 4th nine weeks grading periods.
  3. Must have all fees paid in full.

A student who receives a failing grade in a course for either the 3rd or 4th nine weeks (EVEN IF THEY WERE ON THE 3RD NINE WEEKS HONOR ROLL) is not exempt from taking the exam in that course. Students enrolled in a Tri Star program at Coldwater or ST. Marys must comply with the examination policy of those districts. Semester examinations/projects are a required part of ALL classes. If not exempt from the exam, failure to take the exam will result in NO CREDIT for the class(es) in which the exam was not taken.

SENIORS….

AS OF TODAY…89 SCHOOL DAYS REMAINING! J

SPECIAL THANK YOU!

Student Council would like to extend its thanks to CHAMP and to the sponsors of the Student Leadership Training Fund. If it wasn’t for them, we could not financially attend functions such as Super Saturday, fall and winter retreat and the various other leadership events we attend each year. Their continued support allows us to develop leadership skills while learning valuable information to continue improving Celina High School and its community.

Thanks again to CHAMP, The Peoples Bank Co., CAPT, Pax Machine Works, Samples General Contracting, Inc., Mercer Savings Bank, Shinn Brothers, Inc., & Crown Equipment Corporation.
