Photoshop is an image editing software. Its capabilites in both the graphic and fine arts world are endless. Students will be expected to complete several projects that will teach them how to manipulate and edit images using a wide variety of tools and steps within the program to create their own original compositions. Some areas that will be covered include basic photo correction, masking, retouching, layering, filtering, adding text, resolution and file management, and finally printing and output techniques. Projects will include posterizing, creating both realistic and surreal images with layers in grayscale and in color, re-colorizing, using transparencies, blending modes and more!
Students must have access to family pictures and childhood portraits for use in this class.
