My name is Mrs. Renee Simcoe, and I am the School Counselor at Celina Elementary School. This is my 11th year in the Celina City School District!
I am from Osgood (Ohio), and I attended Marion Local High School where I graduated with Honors. In high school, I was very active and enjoyed staying busy!
Following my high school graduation, I attended Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio where I earned my Bachelor's of Art degree in Psychology, along with my Master's of Education degree in School Counseling. I completed my practicum at Fairborn Primary School (grades K-3) in Fairborn, Ohio, an internship at Tecumseh Middle School (grades 6-8) in New Carlisle, Ohio, and a mentorship at Marion Local High School (grades 9-12) in Maria Stein, Ohio - all for school counseling!
Before venturing to Celina City Schools, I worked as an Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) tutor in home-based, center-based, and camp-based settings for children on the autism spectrum in Dayton. I also was an Elementary School Counselor (grades K-6) in the Fayette County School Corporation in Connersville, Indiana for two years.
I am married to my husband, Michael. Together we have three sons, Riley, Lincoln, and Hayes, a daughter, Nora, and a mini golden-doodle, Huxley. I enjoy reading, playing and watching sports, taking walks, being outside, spending time with my family and friends, and cleaning/organizing (believe it or not!). I love working with kids and look forward to having a wonderful school year getting to know each and every student at Celina Elementary!
