Welcome!! My name is Sarah Young and I teach Physical Education here at Celina Elementary School for both 3rd and 4th grades. This is my seventh year teaching in Celina School District and my 17th year overall. My first ten years of teaching I spent in Brunswick County, North Carolina. I graduated from Trine University in Angola, Indiana in 2005 with a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education and a minor in Sports Medicine. I then moved to Wilmington, North Carolina where I taught Physical Education for 5 years in grades K-5. In addition, I taught 6th grade math, science, and social studies for 5 years as well. During my time there, I also coached volleyball and softball from the 8th grade to the Varsity level. In 2012 I earned my Masters of Education in Elementary Education at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. In 2015 I moved back to my hometown of Celina and accepted a teaching job as an Intervention Specialist here at CES. Two years later I was offered the opportunity to teach what I truly love, Physical Education!! I am currently certified in Physical Education in grades PK-12 and Elementary Education grades K-5. I reside here in Celina with my husband Nathan and our two sons. I am so glad to be back in this great community and once again call it home! Go Dogs!!
